Atlas Green Lawn’s 7 step program has been proven successful year after year. We have calculated the proper amount of treatment for lawns in the region. We start with a split application of pre-emergent and post-emergent. Pre-spring and spring treatments will build the soil barrier to prevent weed seeds from germination during prime growing season. Crabgrass, which germinates in the early spring, continues to germinate throughout the summer. University trials have consistently shown that a second, or split application extends the effectiveness of the control and successfully suppresses crabgrass from germinating later in the season. A total of four fertilizations will be applied. The first application in spring will provide the right nutrients for a fast green-up. A slow release granule fertilizer will be applied in 6-8 week intervals to assure you a healthy lush lawn all spring and summer long. At the fourth fertilization in late fall, your lawn will receive nutrients to strengthen the root system and help the turf during the winter months. The fall pre-emergent & post-emergent treatment prevents weeds and winter grasses from germinating until the next Pre-Spring treatment.
